Trip to the Austrian alps

The Marburg International Club organized a four-day long trip to the Austrian alps which was also open to German students and subsidized by the German Academic Exchange Service. Aside from meeting new people, affordable travel was the main selling point for me and I did not hesitate to apply immediately after the application form was made public. We stayed at Marburger Haus, a hotel belonging to the Marburger Universitätsbund, where students and staff get an additional 10% off. Activities included mainly hiking and climbing as well as relaxing and playing games in the evening.

On towards to Breitachklamm
Following a stream through open terrain
After a while the path narrows
Water was dripping from above and I got soaked
The currents quicken
Fortunately the railing was strong
Also quite high
The view from the hotel
Exiting Breitachklamm
Fire place
Departing on the first hike
Vigorous splendor
Lots of cows roaming freely
Majestic
Mountains
More mountains
Even up high it wasn’t really cold
View from the observation platform
The valley from high above
